Accessibility Statement for Richmond House
At the Richmond House Bed and Breakfast we endeavor that everyone who uses our website or stays with us has a positive and enjoyable experience.
To help us make the Richmond House Bed and Breakfast website accessible for everyone, we are using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible and user friendly for people with disabilities.
As we work hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, we realize there are some areas that still need improvement. The Richmond House Bed and Breakfast is in the process of facilitating the usability and accessibility of its website, www.richmondhousebnb.com for everyone with disabilities. Over time we will be implementing the relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA (WCA 21. AA) as the website accessibility standard required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”)
Please know our efforts are ongoing. Should you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any of our web pages do not hesitate to contact us at richmondhousebnb@comcast.net. Be sure to specify the webpage in your email so that we can make all reasonable efforts to make that webpage accessible for you.
The Bed and Breakfast
As you approach the Richmond House Bed and Breakfast from our off-street parking area, there is a handrail and two steps into our enclosed, furnished patio. From there one more step gives you access in to the Richmond House. All of our guest rooms are on the second floor. Our staircase has a landing after two steps and then 14 steps to the second floor. The treads are wide and the risers are short. This makes for an easy ascent. All of the en-suite bathrooms have grab bars in the tub/shower area.
